WELCOME TO MY FARAWAY TREE

Anyone who has been reading the series of THE ENCHANTED FOREST series by Eind Blyton, one will know the infamous THE FARAWAY TREE story. Eind Blyton has been my childhood most favourite author and still is even now... although I am a mummy myself now... Up in this tree of mine, there are enchanted worlds... worlds I hope will be delightful for both chic mums and junior in tow. Do make yourself comfortable and dropby as often as you can... as there are bound to have something different appearing here and there....

Not forgetting those 3 children who lives nearby - Jo, Bessie and Fanny. These are the names of the children that I have grew up reading about. However.... in the modern re-prints, their names have been changed to Joe, Beth and Frannie. Jo is changed to Joe, being the character is a boy. Bessie has been changed to Beth, as it is not an uncommon name in short for Elizabeth. Lastly, as Fanny is a slang for vulva in the UK, Oz and NZ, it has been changed to Frannie. While, gone are the innocent young days. There are various name change to other character as well, one of which is Dame Slap. It is now known as Dame Snap. Reason is simple, to be political correct in our times, Dame Slap re-named to Dame Snap, no longer practises corporal punishment by hitting and slapping the pupils at the school but instead reprimands her students by yelling very loudly. I feel it removes some drama from the story.
